O então candidato a vereador do PL Fábio Lopes que na campanha de 2024 juntamente com Queiroga e Pastor Sérgio Queiroz candidatos a prefeito e vice , atacaram o então candidato Dinho a reeleição a vereador e era o presidente da Câmara de Vereadora de João Pessoa PB de líder de organização criminosa .
Após ser eleito o agora vereador Fábio Lopes ( PL) votou para se reeleição a presidente da Câmara de Vereadores o reeleito vereador Dinho (PSB) .

O ministro Flávio Dino, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), votou nesta sexta-feira (28) pela manutenção da decisão que permite a reeleição do vereador Dinho Dowsley (PSD) à presidência da Câmara Municipal de João Pessoa para o biênio 2025–2026.
A decisão ocorre no âmbito de uma reclamação constitucional movida pelo PDT municipal, que contestava a recondução, alegando violação aos princípios de alternância no poder e limitação de reeleições nas mesas diretoras. O julgamento acontece no plenário virtual da Primeira Turma do STF e segue até 4 de abril.
