ARGENTINA À PROCURA DE ASILO POLÍTICO: PGR pede prisão de sobrinho de Bolsonaro por violação de medidas cautelares.

O procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet, solicitou nesta terça-feira (1º) ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) a prisão de Leonardo Rodrigues de Jesus, conhecido como Léo Índio, sobrinho do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro. O pedido será analisado pelo ministro Alexandre de Moraes.
Léo Índio fugiu para a Argentina após ser tornado réu no STF pelo envolvimento nos atos golpistas de 8 de janeiro de 2023. O julgamento, realizado no mês passado pela Primeira Turma da Corte, resultou na decisão de que ele responderá pelos crimes de tentativa de golpe de Estado, abolição violenta do Estado Democrático de Direito, associação criminosa, dano qualificado pela violência e grave ameaça contra o patrimônio da União e deterioração de patrimônio tombado da União.
Na manifestação enviada ao STF, Gonet destacou que o sobrinho de Bolsonaro violou as medidas cautelares impostas a ele, o que justifica a necessidade da prisão preventiva.
“Ao se evadir para a Argentina, Leonardo Rodrigues de Jesus deliberadamente descumpriu medida cautelar alternativa à prisão, a evidenciar sua insuficiência, o descaso com a aplicação da lei penal e desrespeito às decisões emanadas pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal”, argumentou o procurador-geral.
Na semana passada, Léo Índio concedeu uma entrevista à Rádio Massa FM, de Cascavel (PR), na qual confirmou que está na Argentina há 20 dias por medo de ser preso. Seus advogados também admitiram a fuga.
A defesa do sobrinho de Bolsonaro nega que ele tenha cometido crimes e sustentou, durante o julgamento da denúncia, que a acusação deveria ser rejeitada. Agora, com o pedido de prisão em análise pelo STF, o desdobramento do caso dependerá da decisão do ministro Alexandre de Moraes.
