Berlim endureceu o tom. O prefeito da capital alemã, Kai Wegner (CDU), anunciou que quer deportar quatro estrangeiros que participaram de um protesto anti-Israel nas ruas da cidade. A medida atinge dois irlandeses, um polonês e um americano — todos acusados de glorificar atos de violência e questionar o direito de existência do Estado de Israel.
“Qualquer um que questione o direito de Israel existir ou glorifique a violência antissemita está cruzando uma linha vermelha”, declarou Wegner em entrevista à imprensa alemã. “Essa decisão é certa e necessária.”
A proposta já está sob análise judicial. Caso os tribunais aprovem, os quatro ativistas estrangeiros terão de deixar o país — uma sinalização clara de que Berlim não irá tolerar discursos de ódio disfarçados de ativismo político.
A atitude do prefeito não é isolada. Wegner tem sido uma voz firme contra o antissemitismo e defende ações duras contra manifestações que atacam Israel ou promovem hostilidade contra judeus. Ele já pediu mudanças na lei de ensino superior para permitir a expulsão de estudantes envolvidos em ações antissemitas, mesmo em universidades públicas.
Críticos alertam para o risco de limitação à liberdade de expressão. Já apoiadores afirmam: é hora de agir com firmeza diante da escalada de discursos de ódio e tentativas de importar conflitos internacionais para o solo europeu.
