Durante entrevista concedida ao repórter Anderson Silva, do programa Nem 8 Nem 80, diretamente da Assembleia Legislativa da Paraíba, o suplente de deputado estadual e suplente de vereador, Sargento Rui (PL), confirmou que será pré-candidato a deputado estadual pelo Partido Liberal em 2026.
Na ocasião, Ricardo Pina, também do programa Nem 8 Nem 80, questionou o militar sobre o acordo feito em 2024, que previa que os suplentes assumissem cadeiras nas câmaras municipais. Em resposta, Sargento Rui foi direto:
“O PL é um partido de nível nacional que precisa cumprir os acordos com os suplentes. Tem sido uma falha do partido”, afirmou.
Sobre a lista dos prováveis pré-candidatos do PL à Assembleia Legislativa em 2026, o sargento declarou que ainda não foi procurado pela direção partidária para tratar do tema, mas reafirmou seu comprometimento com o projeto conservador e bolsonarista defendido pelo partido.
