– Abri mão de toda uma carreira política – afinal, são sete mandatos de vereador e hoje, quase 25 anos dedicados ao Legislativo, em uma trajetória que acredito ter sido histórica, batendo recordes de votos e superando minhas próprias votações, obviamente tendo um líder me guiando. Tenho plena convicção de que minhas decisões foram fundamentais para ajudar na eleição de inúmeros parlamentares e políticos, os quais, em sua esmagadora maioria, jamais conheci, crendo apenas que, por seus posicionamentos, poderiam ser bons para o futuro do país e para o fortalecimento de nossos ideais ao longo de mais de duas décadas, mesmo que, para isso, eu tenha renunciado a um futuro certo e estável, sem jamais agir por capricho ou interesse pessoal.
– Hoje, infelizmente, vemos que muitos daqueles a quem ajudamos nos tratam como se fôssemos descartáveis. Ainda assim, não me arrependo de absolutamente nada do que fiz. Agir esperando algo em troca não é digno.
– Deixo aqui apenas uma reflexão sincera sobre o cenário político atual – uma verdadeira alvenaria de interesses – e sobre o sofrimento que essa realidade tem causado, não só a mim, mas também à minha família.
