Brasília – Em uma decisão que estremeceu os corredores da esquerda radical, o Conselho de Ética da Câmara dos Deputados aprovou nesta terça-feira (9) o parecer que recomenda a cassação do mandato do deputado federal Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ). Foram 13 votos favoráveis contra 5, selando o destino de um dos nomes mais barulhentos – e polêmicos – do Congresso Nacional.
A decisão ocorre quase um ano após o episódio lamentável em que Glauber agrediu fisicamente um militante do MBL nas dependências da Câmara, em abril de 2024. O ato, segundo testemunhas e imagens divulgadas na época, envolveu empurrões e até chutes, após o militante ter feito ofensas de cunho pessoal contra o parlamentar. A cena, digna de nota policial, agora cobra seu preço.
Mesmo diante das evidências, parlamentares da extrema-esquerda tentaram blindar Braga, acusando o ex-presidente da Casa, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), de suposta “perseguição política”. Mas o discurso vitimista não colou: até mesmo membros do centro reconheceram o ato como quebra clara de decoro parlamentar.
A cassação, no entanto, ainda precisa passar pelo crivo da Comissão de Constituição e Justiça (CCJ) e, em seguida, pelo plenário da Câmara, onde são necessários 257 votos para a confirmação da perda de mandato. Glauber, por sua vez, tenta transformar o caso em espetáculo: anunciou greve de fome e promete acampar na sala da votação como forma de protesto.
Entre o teatro e a realidade, o que se vê é um recado claro do Parlamento: a imunidade parlamentar não é salvo-conduto para agressão.
Fim da linha para mais um radical? A decisão está nas mãos da Câmara.
