Uma reviravolta no Partido Liberal (PL) expôs mais uma fissura interna entre a cúpula partidária e a ala bolsonarista. O presidente do PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, teria impedido o deputado federal Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) de assumir a presidência da Comissão de Relações Exteriores e de Defesa Nacional (CREDN) da Câmara dos Deputados, decisão que pegou aliados de surpresa e gerou desconforto no núcleo bolsonarista.
A indicação de Eduardo para o cargo era dada como certa até poucos dias antes do anúncio oficial.
