Nas eleições de 2024, o deputado Cabo Gilberto (PL) deu uma ordem aos “Cães de Guerra” — forma carinhosa como chama seus aliados — que comandam o diretório municipal do PL em São Bento – PB para que fechassem aliança com o PSB, apoiando a candidatura de Gerfeso Carnaúba, indicado pelo governador João Azevêdo.
Além disso, o deputado autorizou o repasse de R$ 250.000,00 do fundo partidário para fortalecer a campanha do candidato da esquerda, aliado do ex-presidiário Lula da Silva.
Cabo Gilberto trata seus eleitores conservadores e bolsonaristas sem respeito algum, e seu discurso de oposição ao governo João Azevêdo (PSB) não passa de um “Teatro das Tesouras”.
