O ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL) foi internado nesta sexta-feira (11) após sentir fortes dores abdominais durante um evento político na cidade de Santa Cruz, no interior do Rio Grande do Norte. Após avaliação inicial, ele foi transferido de helicóptero para o Hospital Rio Grande, em Natal, onde foi diagnosticado com um quadro de obstrução intestinal.
A condição de saúde de Bolsonaro está relacionada a complicações da facada sofrida durante a campanha eleitoral de 2018. Segundo o boletim médico, o ex-presidente encontra-se estável, sendo tratado com medicação e sob acompanhamento constante de uma equipe especializada.
O cirurgião Antônio Luiz Macedo, que acompanha Bolsonaro desde o atentado, está em contato com a equipe local e avalia a possibilidade de transferência para São Paulo, caso seja necessária uma intervenção cirúrgica. Até o momento, no entanto, não há indicação de cirurgia.
A assessoria do ex-presidente informou que sua agenda política no Nordeste, que incluía o lançamento do programa “Rota 22” pelo Partido Liberal, foi suspensa. Familiares e aliados próximos acompanham sua recuperação com otimismo.
