A vereadora Eliza Virgínia (PP), reconhecida por sua postura conservadora e firme oposição às pautas progressistas dentro da Câmara Municipal de João Pessoa-PB, manifestou publicamente seu agradecimento aos deputados federais Mersinho Lucena (PP) — filho do prefeito da capital — e Wellington Roberto (PL), pelo apoio ao Projeto de Lei da Anistia relacionado aos atos do dia 8 de janeiro de 2023.
Odiada e constantemente perseguida pela esquerda paraibana, Eliza segue sendo uma das principais barreiras contra o avanço de propostas esquerdistas no legislativo municipal. Sua atuação tem garantido representatividade às pautas conservadoras e fortalecido a resistência frente ao progressismo.
