Brasília – A ministra dos Povos Indígenas, Sônia Guajajara, voltou a ser alvo de críticas após manifestações nas redes sociais relacionadas ao legado histórico do imperador Dom Pedro II. Segundo comentários que circulam na internet, a ministra estaria “dando uma banana” ao único chefe de Estado brasileiro que, segundo relatos históricos, se preocupou em aprender tupi para se comunicar com os povos originários.
A crítica, publicada por um internauta, traz um forte tom de reprovação ao atual governo e à esquerda brasileira:
“Sônia Guajajara, Ministra dos Povos Indígenas do Governo Lula.
Dando uma ‘banana’ para o único Chefe de Estado do Brasil que se preocupou em aprender Tupi (uma das mais de 15 línguas que falava e entendia) para se comunicar com os índios brasileiros.
Essa gente da esquerda, que chamamos de ESQUERDOPATAS, é nojenta. Tudo relacionado ao LULADRÃO e essa gente da esquerda é embrulhar o estômago!
É por isso que eu não converso com comunista!”
Dom Pedro II é frequentemente lembrado por sua erudição e respeito às culturas indígenas. Além do português, falava línguas como latim, grego, árabe, hebraico, francês, alemão e também tupi. Em 1879, ao receber um grupo de índios Coroados, foi o único a compreendê-los. Sensibilizado pelas denúncias feitas na ocasião, o imperador mandou exonerar o chefe de polícia acusado de abusos contra os indígenas, o que demonstrou seu comprometimento com os direitos dos povos originários.
